Co-hosting of the 2024 HUE INTERNATIONAL FORUM

The Architecture & Urban Research Institute (AURI), HMCC, and SMC HUE co-hosted the “2024 HUE INTERNATIONAL FORUM” on Friday, December 6. The Architecture & Urban Research Institute (AURI) has been cooperating with Hue, Vietnam, since 2022 and organized an international forum with the Hue Institute for Development Studies (HueIDS) and the Hue Center of Information Technology (HueCIT), which are affiliated with the municipal government of Hue, Vietnam as part of its exchange activities. 

This forum was an international academic exchange of global experts on cultural heritage, green economy, and digital economy held under the theme “Green & IT for Sustainable Development on Cultural Industry & Heritage Economy in Thua Thien Hue.” Participants explored new ways to foster the preservation of history and culture and gave presentations to share research findings and strengthen networks. Youngbum Reigh, President of AURI, presented “Urban Cultural Competitiveness and the Value of Museums,” and Sangkyu Cho, Senior Research Fellow at AURI, on “The Vision for Green Cities: Korea’s Urban Park Policy and Implications for Creating Green Cities in Vietnam.” Experts specializing in various fields, including architecture, history and culture, IT, and green economy, from administrative institutions, research institutes, and companies attended to share recent trends in green economy and the digital world and held discussions on the sustainable development of Hue, Vietnam.
