The 2nd International Forum Held
on “Hue – Information Technology – Promoting Sustainable Development” 

The Architecture & Urban Research Institute (AURI) and Hue Center of Information Technology (HueCIT) co-hosted “The 2nd International Forum” on Friday, December 1, in Hue, Vietnam. AURI has cooperated with Hue, Vietnam, since 2022 and organized an international form with HueCIT, an institution affiliated with the local government in charge of fostering digital innovation projects and cooperation. 

This forum fostered international academic exchange with global experts on green transportation and smart cities. The preservation of historical heritage in cities and directions for the development of sustainable cities were discussed under the theme of “Hue - Information Technology - Promoting Sustainable Development,” and topic presentations and meetings were held to share research findings and strengthen networks. The forum commenced with welcoming remarks from AURI President Youngbum Reigh, after which Sangkyu Cho, Senior Research Fellow at AURI, presented “An Integrated Approach to Realizing a Sustainable Future City: Smart City + Smart Buildings.” Experts from related institutions, including the National Museum of Korea, PoSTMEDIA, and GBike, also attended to share recent trends and ideas in the fields of culture, environment, and transportation and engaged in discussions for the sustainable development of Hue, Vietnam.
