Overview

Planning and Coordination Department performs overall research planning, coordination, management, support tasks as well as establishing long-term development strategy and promoting research products of AURI for the contribution of national policy and substantial research projects. It consists of three teams: Research Coordination Team, Budget Team and Publication & PR Team.

Research Coordination Team

Research Coordination Team carries out planning, discovering, selecting, coordinating and evaluating of overall research projects by analyzing domestic & foreign research environment and policy direction. And it promotes exchange and cooperation with domestic & foreign organizations for building network and spreading research results.

Main Duties

  • Establishing the mid and long-term development strategies
  • Managing, evaluating, coordinating, discovering and planning research projects
  • Managing and planning research manpower
  • Managing and planning domestic & foreign cooperative research programs
  • Handling works related to organization evaluation from Korea Council of Humanities and Social Research Institute
  • Supporting international & domestic exchange and cooperation as well as academic activities

Budget Team

The Budget Team establishes the mid- to long-term budget and operation plan of AURI. The team draws up and manages annual budgets and carries out duties related to the National Assembly and external demands accompanying their business planning operations. Furthermore, they manage research outsourcing, set up the general computer resources and networks of AURI, and perform budgeting operations to support the operation and research activities of AURI.

Main Duties

  • Establish mid- to long-term budget operation plans
  • Operating government subsidy and settlements of accounts
  • Preparing guidelines of annual budget complication and operation
  • Prepare guidelines for annual budget drafting and operation, the settlement and control of annual budgets
  • Manage operations related to the National Assembly and other external organizations
  • Manage research outsourcing
  • Manage/operate the computer resources/networks of AURI; support for related education exchange and cooperation as well as academic activities

Publication and Public Relations Team

Publication and PR Team performs planning & managing PR activities as well as editing, publishing, distributing and managing research reports & various references. It also manages reference library such as specialty publications and periodicals. The team carries out PR activities such as news and notice by managing AURI website.
